Lit shaders produce sparkling artifacts on 3D objects when using certain Intel Integrated GPUs with Android Build Profile selected on DirectX11
How to reproduce:
1. Ensure the tested Editor version is using Intel Integrated Graphics (can be selected in Windows Graphics Settings)
2. Create and open a new 3D URP project
3. Ensure the Editor is running under the DX11 Graphics API (Project Settings > Player > Other Settings)
4. In an empty scene, add any primitive 3D GameObject
5. Switch the Build Profile to Android
6. Observe the Scene View
Expected result: The 3D GameObject retains the same appearance as with the Windows Build Profile
Actual result: Rapidly flickering/sparkling artifacts are visible on the GameObject
Reproducible in: 2023.3.0b8, 6000.0.45f1, 6000.1.0b13, 6000.2.0a8
Not reproducible in: 2022.3.61f1, 2023.3.0b7
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Affected GPUs: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770 (by user), Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics (local)
Unaffected GPUs: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 (local)
Notes:
- Issue does not reproduce on Vulkan and DX12
- Adding a light source with Soft or Hard Shadows prevents reproduction outside of Play Mode (artifacts are still visible when in Play Mode, though)
- Issue is only reproducible in Editor
