Timeline releases Cinemachine overrides too late when playing a Cinemachine track
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “CinemachineTimelineTest.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“ Scene
3. Pause and enter Play Mode
4. Enable the “Timeline“ GameObject in the Hierarchy
5. Press the “Next Step“ button 6 times
Expected result: A red “Cube“ GameObject is shown
Actual result: A red “Sphere“ GameObject is shown
Reproducible with:
Timeline package: 1.8.4 (2021.3.30f1), 1.8.5 (2021.3.30f1, 2022.3.9f1, 2023.1.13f1, 2023.2.0b9, 2023.3.0a5)
Cinemachine package: 2.9.7 (2021.3.30f1), 3.0.0-pre.7 (2022.3.9f1, 2023.1.13f1, 2023.2.0b9, 2023.3.0a5)
Reproducible on: macOS 13.4.1 Ventura (Intel)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- The Cinemachine and Timeline package are both needed to reproduce the issue
- Issue related forum post: [https://forum.unity.com/threads/timeline-releasing-cinemachine-override-too-late.1483341/|https://forum.unity.com/threads/timeline-releasing-cinemachine-override-too-late.1483341/]
- If the issue with the newest Cinemachine package version needs to be reproduced, open the “CinemachineTimelineTestCinemachineUpdate.zip“ project instead (some Components in the “CinemachineTimelineTest.zip“ project are deprecated in the newest Cinemachine package versions)
- Issue still happens even if Update Method is changed to any other in the “CinemachineBrain” Component of the “Main Camera” GameObject
