The Editor hangs when using Probuilder Edit mode
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “IN-75691_repro“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Select the “Plane_1“ GameObject
4. Select ProBuilder Edit mode in the Scene view overlay toolbar
5. Make multiple changes to the “Plane_1“ GameObject
Expected result: The GameObject can be edited and the Editor does not hang
Actual result: The Editor hangs and it is difficult to edit the GameObject
Reproducible with: 5.2.2 (2021.3.38f1, 2022.3.28f1), 6.0.1 (6000.0.1f1)
Reproducible on: Windows 10
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note: To open ProBuilder Edit mode in 2021.3.38f1 and 2022.3.28f1, select the GameObject and press “Open ProBuilder“ in the Inspector

Note: The hang only happens when that probuilder object is a prefab and has many verts/tris

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we will not be addressing your issue now, as we are committed to resolving other higher-priority issues.
This is actually a known limitation of ProBuilder with the large and dense meshes. The system is working but slowly due to the size of the topology (in that case 20k triangles and 10k vertices per mesh...)
