TextMeshPro text doesn't show up when importing from a custom package
Reproduction steps:
1. Create an empty project
2. Import Input System package
3. Import the user's attached Unity package
4. Open the "Assets/AndyVersion/Scenes/MainScreen" scene
5. Press "Import TMP Essentials" and close the TMP Importer window
Expected result: TextMeshPro text is visible on all of the buttons
Actual result: TextMeshPro text is visible only on the first button
Reproducible with: 2019.4.38f1, 2020.3.34f1, 2021.3.2f1, 2022.1.0f1, 2022.2.0a12
TMP version: 3.0.6
Note:
- imported text becomes visible after relaunching the Editor

I ran into the same problem. I fixed by replacing the font asset with one in my main applications folder like so:
var lst = GetComponentsInChildren<TMPro.TextMeshProUGUI>();
foreach (var t in lst)
{
t.font = FontForLabels;
}
