[iOS] Stuttering on iPhone X when minimizing and opening the app when using Profiler

iOS

-

To reproduce:
1. Open users attached project "SimpleRotatingRings.zip"
2. Build for iOS with Development Build and Autoconnect Profiler enabled
3. Open the build through Xcode on iPhone X
4. Open Profiler window in Unity editor
5. Close the app to the App tray
6. Wait for a couple of seconds and open the app from the app tray (dragging from the bottom of the screen to the top opens the app tray)
7. Observe the Profiler window

Expected result: the app is opened without any issues
Actual result: the app is opened, but it stutters and the beginning

Reproduced on:
2017.3.2f1 2017.4.6f1 2018.1.5f1 2018.2.0b9 2018.3.0a2

Devices reprodced on:
iPhone 6S iOS 11.0
iPhone X iOS 11.3.1

Notes:
It is more noticeable on iPhone X since there is more stuttering, on iPhone 6S its just a one hick up on opening the app after minimizing it. According to the users, it doesn't reproduce on Uni 5.4.2p4 .

  1. Resolution Note:

Low priority (since it's happening only when debugging and using Profiler).

I can confirm that this happens on my devices and has been tough to diagnose! Frame rate seems to be locked to 40 after screen is refocused.

I am having the exact same issue described here.
I have a Runner project for mobile with FPS set to 60.

While I have tested it on a few android devices and several iPhone device with no apparent performance issues - On the iPhone X there is a noticeable jitters after the process described above (Close screen and reopen). First run is smooth, jitters starts after closing the screen and reopening the game.

I think the priority on this one should be increased - This is a big issue with no workaround - meaning all iPhoneX users are impacted.

    Reproduced on:
    2018.3.0f2
