Line Brush blue outline appears at incorrect position when painting start of line in Tile Palette

2D

-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new project using Universal 2D template
  2. Import the attached .png file
  3. Set its Texture Type to Sprite and Slice it in Sprite Editor
  4. Go to Window > 2D > Tile Palette
  5. Create a new Tile Palette
  6. Drag the previously created Sprite in the Tile Map
  7. Toggle Tile Palette Edit icon
  8. Open the "Default Brush" dropdown and select "Line Brush"
  9. Click in the Tile Palette to start drawing
  10. Observe the blue outline that appears

Actual results: The blue outline appears at a seemingly random position in the Tile Palette and does not match the starting point of the line

Expected results: The blue outline’s position matches the chosen starting cell and clearly indicates the starting point of the line

Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.67f1, 6000.3.9f1, 6000.4.0b9, 6000.5.0a7

Tested on (OS): Windows 11

Notes:

  • Could not reproduce with built-in Sprites
  • According to the Line Brush documentation, when the Line Brush is active, a blue outline should indicate the actual starting point of the line
