FPS drops significantly when selecting an Entity GameObject with numerous components in the Inspector in Play mode
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached "IN-85905" project
2. In the top menu bar, click on the button with the Map icon (located to the right of the [Logs (0)] button)
3. From the dropdown list, choose the "Play Mission 01.dfmap" option
4. Once the level is loaded, click on the "Stats" button in the top Game window panel
5. Observe the FPS count in the opened Statistics window
6. In the Game window, hover the mouse over the character who has a blue semi-transparent circle around him
7. Press F to select this Entity in the Inspector
8. Observe the FPS count in the opened Statistics window
Expected result: The FPS remains stable or drops only slightly; the Statistics panel displays ~80 FPS or more
Actual result: The FPS drops significantly; the Statistics panel displays ~15 FPS
Reproducible in: 1.2.0 (6000.0.16f1), 1.3.5 (6000.0.24f1, 6000.1.0a1)
Could not test with: 2021.3.45f1 (No Entities package), 2022.3.51f1 (Unfixable package errors after downgrading the project)
Reproducible on: Windows 11, macOS 15.0 (M3 Max) (by user)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Notes:
• In this case, the Entity causing the FPS drop on selection has 54 components attached
• FPS stabilizes shortly after the drop but returns to low values each time the selected Entity is moving
