[iOS] Launching an iOS app in VR mode causes the app to crash
Reproduction:
1) Create a new project with Cardboard as the only item in the VR SDK list.
2) Build and deploy to iOS.
Expected Result: App should show the splash screen and correctly enter VR mode.
Actual Result: The app freezes on a black screen as the VR splash screen is constructed.
Console Output:
(Filename: /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Runtime/VR/VRDevice.cpp Line: 2147)
Can't add component because class 'MeshFilter' doesn't exist!
(Filename: /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Runtime/Misc/GameObjectUtility.cpp Line: 841)
Can't add component because class 'MeshRenderer' doesn't exist!
(Filename: /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Runtime/Misc/GameObjectUtility.cpp Line: 841)
Reproducible: 2018.2.0a5+
Not Reproducible: 2018.2.0a4
The VR Splash screen creates a GO with a number of components. One of those components is MeshFilter. It then asks the GO for the MeshFilter component which causes an assert and failure because the component is not there. This works on all other platforms VR is supported on and used to work on iOS.
