Wrong elements are selected when holding shift and selecting Game Objects in the Scene Hierarchy
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project "ShiftClick.zip"
2. Open SampleScene
3. Select GameObject in the Scene Hierarchy
4. Holding Ctrl select GameObject (10)
5. Holding Ctrl select GameObject (9)
6. Holding Shift select GameObject (3)
Expected result: GameObjects (9-3) are selected
Actual result: GameObject 9 is deselected
Reproducible with: 2018.4.34f1, 2019.4.28f1, 2020.2.0a20, 2021.2.0a14, 2021.2.0a19
Not reproducible with: 2020.2.0a21, 2020.3.11f1, 2021.1.10f1, 2021.2.0a13
Note:
1. The behaviour in 2018.4 and 2019.4 is different from 2021.2
