Ok weirdly, building from the Editor it doesn't have this issue. Building from the commandline it didn't seem to like. Will investigate further...

This "fix" as applied in Patch 5.3.5p7 seems to cause more issues than it solves.
True the size of Webplayer builds now comes out back at the correct size but when I try and load the player I get the error "Failed to decompress data for the AssetBundle 'WebStartData' so it seems the webplayer plugin can't read the resulting file.
I'm also finding in the Editor that the project takes x10 to start up and when it does there are all manner of display issues.

We went from 30 to 150 mb... I though Unity releases were supposed to be stable, but 5.3.5f1 is a mess! You need better QA Unity guys!

Skipped to 5.3.5p2 and encountered the same build issue, seems like the 1 scene always contains all the assets. Even on an empty first scene, all the assets will be included into the build.
