WebGL Settings are automatically set to use unsupported texture compression format when the Texture has certain settings set
How to reproduce:
1. Open user's attached "WebGL Compressed Texture Bug" project
2. Select the "texture compressed" texture
3. In the Inspector open the WebGL settings
Expected results: The texture compression format is set to a format that is supported by WebGL
Actual results: The texture compression format is set to "R Compressed BC4" which is not supported by WebGL
Reproducible with: 2018.4.27f1, 2019.4.9f1, 2020.1.4f1, 2020.2.0b2
Notes:
- The issue is reproducible with these settings, changing any of these will not reproduce the issue:
Texture Type: Single Channel
Channel: Red
Default Format: Automatic
Compression: Low Quality / Normal Quality / High Quality
- A workaround would be to override the WebGL settings by checking the "Override For WebGL" option in the WebGL settings
