Sprite animation preview does not respect "Order in Layer"
The layering of sprites (Order in Layer) is ignored and messed up in the clips animation preview (Inspector).
repro:
-open Project
-open Sprite_Locomotion scene
-select “run” clip in Project window
-drag’n’drop “Root” GO from Hierarchy into Inspector animation previewer
(bottom of Inspector > “No model… Please drag…” text)
-orbit the camera in the previewer so that the character runs towards the right of the screen (same as scene view)
-click Play in the previewer…
result: animation plays properly, but the “Order in Layer” on the individual sprites are ignored, resulting in sprites flip-flopping between front/back layers.
expected result: same sprite ordering as in the Scene and Game views.
