Shaders in scene view get disabled based on camera rotation
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached project "SceneViewShader.zip"
2. Either move the scene view around or rotate the Main Camera along the Y axis
3. At some point the Cube will turn white.
Expected: Either one or the other state is shown. The cube should not change texture based on the position of the Scene view/Main Camera
Actual: At some point the Cube switches from one rendering appearance to another if you position the Scene view or the Main Camera in a special way
Reproduced on:2017.3.0a5, 2017.2.0b8, 2017.1.0p5, 5.6.3p1
Note: Enabling GPU instancing on the shader of the material of the cube will lock in the white transparent mode of the cube.
