[Linux] Linux Editor does not warn you if Vulkan Linux Package is not installed
HDRP Package doesn't work with OpenGL, but Unity Editor doesn't warn the user if they can actually run Vulkan. It even allows you to switch to Vulkan from the Player Settings.
To reproduce this issue:
- You'll need a machine that doesn't have the libvulkan1 package.
- Start a new Unity Project using the HDRP Template
- notice that the editor will start with the OpenGL renderer and that HDRP will warn you that this is not supported
- Go to Player Settings->Player
- Untick Auto Graphics API for Linux and ensure that only Vulkan is left in the renderer list
- The editor will try to switch to Vulkan but will fail
- The user is not warned that there is was a problem and how to fix it in any way.
Workaround: Install the Vulkan Package in Ubuntu and restart Unity. You will be able to use HDRP with Vulkan afterwards.
