Light.shadowMatrixOverride is ignored when using GPU Resident Drawer
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity” Scene
3. In Hierarchy, select the “Spot Light“ GameObject
4. In Inspector, try toggling off and on the “Use Shadow Matrix Override“ option and notice how the lighting Scene view changes
5. In the Project window, select “Assets/Settings/PC_RPAsset.asset“
6. In Inspector, change the “GPU Resident Drawer“ to “Instanced Drawing“
7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 while observing the Scene
Expected result: Lighting in Scene changes
Actual result: Lighting in Scene does not change
Reproducible with: 6000.0.55f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.0f1, 6000.3.0a4
Could not test with: 2022.3.62f1 (“GPU Resident Drawer” option is not available)
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note:
- No changes to the "Frustum" object properties or transform have any effect on shadow culling when “GPU Resident Drawer” is enabled
