What version is this fixed in? I've tested both the current 2017.2.0f1 beta and 2017.1.1p3 release and it's still reproducible there.

This also happens in OpenGL ES 3.0 on an iPhone 6 Plus 10.3.3 and across GVRSDK 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 cocoa pods. This is a breaking bug for release on Unity 2017 iOS and definitely a regression.
