[HDRP] Entering Play mode when Render Pipeline Asset is set to None and an XR Plug-in is enabled causes Unity to freeze
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the user's attached "2021 HDRP test.zip" project
2. Go to Edit > Project Settings > Graphics
3. Set the Render Pipeline Asset to None
4. Enter the Play mode
Expected Result: Unity does not freeze
Actual Result: Unity freezes
Reproducible with: 12.1.1 (2021.2.2f1), 12.1.7 (2021.3.8f1), 13.1.8 (2022.1.12f1), 14.0.0 (2022.2.0a7)
Not reproducible with: 7.7.1 (2019.4.40f1), 10.10.0 (2020.3.37f1), 12.1.0 (2021.2.1f1), 14.0.1 (2022.2.0a8), 14.0.2 (2022.2.0b3), 15.0.0 (2023.1.0a4)
Notes:
- On some Unity versions when entering Play mode Unity gets stuck on Loading "GameView.Repaint"
