CreateAssetMenu fileName results in asset name being cut off when fileName contains a dot
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached project "CreateAssetMenu.zip"
2. In Editor menu, select Assets -> Create -> FileWithDot -> Name.WithDot
3. In Project window, observe newly created asset
Expected result: the name of the asset is 'Name.WithDot'
Actual result: the name of the asset is cut off resulting in the asset named 'Name', the created asset is not usable(corrupted), no warnings/errors appear
Reproducible with: 2017.2.4p1, 2017.4.15f1, 2018.3.0b10, 2019.1.0a9
Additional notes:
- a dot symbol is not included in the characters which cannot be used in a filename
- creating an empty folder with the dot name ('.') changes to ('_')
- creating a folder with the following name 'xx.xx' works (as long as the dot is not at the front or the back of the name)
- creating an asset with the default fileName = "xx." works
