Circle-shaped rendering artefacts visible in Local Volumetric Fog boundaries box in Scene view when Fog Distance is lower than 1
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “FogArtefacts.zip” project from provided Google Drive link
2. Make sure “OutdoorsScene” is open
3. Observe the artefacts in the Scene view, inside the fog boundaries box
Actual results: Circle-shaped rendering artefacts are visible in the Scene view
Expected results: No rendering artefacts should be visible in the Scene view
Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.57f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.3f1, 6000.3.0b1
Tested on (OS): macOS Silicon, Sequoia 15.6 (M1)
Notes:
- artefacts also become visible in Game view when setting Fog Distance at 0.1 and lower

Resolution Note:
The current slice count is set to 128, which means the depth resolution of the 3D volume texture used in Local Volumetric Fog is limited. This causes banding artifacts along the z-axis due to insufficient sampling precision. The following workarounds are available:
- Use Blend Distance: Banding may be more noticeable when using a Mask Texture. The default Blend Distance is 0.1, but it is currently set to 0. Increasing the Blend Distance helps smooth the transitions at the volume boundaries.
- Increase Slice Count: Increasing the slice count can reduce banding. However, this will impact GPU memory usage and performance. The slice count can be adjusted in the DefaultSettingsVolumeProfile asset. When Fog Control Mode is Balance, increasing the Volumetric Fog Budget and Resolution Depth Ratio from 0.5 to 1 will increase the slice count to 512. When Fog Control Mode is Manual, the Volume Slice Count can be specified directly.
