Regression
Yes
2DLight component only renders when ShadowCaster2D components are within range in WebGL builds
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-103215.zip” project
2. Open the “SampleScene”
3. Build and Run for WebGL (File > Build and Run)
4. In the browser, click “0” + “t” on the keyboard
5. Observe the light on the right
Expected result: The light is still active
Actual result: The light disappears and only reappears when the capsule enters the light’s range
Reproducible with: 6000.0.27f1 6000.0.53f1, 6000.1.11f1, 6000.2.0b9, 6000.3.0a1
Not reproducible with: 6000.0.26f1
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested
Notes:
- Does not reproduce in the Editor or Windows Player
- In the Game view, moving with WASD keys towards the light shows how the light starts working once the capsule enters the light’s range
