[2018.4][Metal][Multithreaded Rendering][iOS] Graphical corruption after force quit and relaunch
How to reproduce:
1. Download the "unity_MT_bug_project.zip" project
2. Download the "unity-common.zip" packages
3. Make sure the folder is called "unity-common" and it is parallel to the project folder
4. Build the project for iOS
5. Build the project to device via Xcode
6. Force Quit the app
7. Swipe the app out
8. Open the app again
9. Repeat steps 6-8
Actual result: Graphical corruption appears after several quits (screenshot attached).
Expected result: No graphical corruption appears.
Reproducible with: 2018.4.0f1, 2018.4.1f1, 2018.4.13f1, 2018.4.17f1.
Not reproducible with: 2019.1.14f1, 2019.2.13f1.
Devices reproducible with:
- iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 13.0)
- iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 12.2)
Devices not reproducible with:
- iPhone 11 (iOS 13.0)
- iPhone 7+ (iOS 11.4.1)
Notes:
- Can't build on 2019.3 and 2020.1 because of Xcode errors.
- Can't find where the issue got fixed as the project breaks in 2019.1 alpha versions.
- Not reproducible with OpenGLES.
- It takes up to 15 restarts for the issue to reproduce.
