[Mac] VFX graph node creation window doesn't close when clicked outside of the node creation window
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new Unity project using the Universal 3D template
- Install the Visual Effect Graph package
- Create a new Visual Effect Graph (Assets > Create > Visual Effects > Visual Effect Graph)
- Select "Simple Loop" Visual Effect Template
- Open the created Visual Effect Graph
- Click anywhere in the Visual Effect Graph window and press spacebar
- Keep repeating step 6 but clicking in a different spot each time
- Observe the Visual Effect Graph window
Actual results: There are multiple/many node creation windows all over the Visual Effect Graph window
Expected results: Every time the user clicks somewhere outside the node creation window, the node creation window should disappear to prevent multiple node creation windows appearing on the screen
Reproducible with versions: 6000.3.0a3
Not reproducible with versions: 6000.0.54f1, 6000.1.13f1, 6000.2.0b11, 6000.3.0a2
Tested on (OS): macOS Silicon Sequoia 15.5 (reproduces), Windows 11 (does not reproduce)
Notes:
- Even after restarting the Editor, the node creation windows remain
- This operation cannot be cancelled by left-click on the empty workspace, you must select a node to remove the node search
- You can close VFX window and the node search is gonna be visible
- Also reproducible with Shadergraph
