Using ParticleSystem.Emit with Play on Awake enabled triggers a crash
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached project "CrashSample.zip"
2. Load scene TestScene
3. Observe that Play on Awake on "Particle System" is disabled
4. Enter Play mode
5. Press the Space key on your keyboard
Expected result: no crash
Actual result: Unity crashes
Reproducible with: 2017.2.0f2, 2017.2.0f3, 2018.1.0a1
Not reproducible with: 5.6.1f1, 2017.1.0b10, 2017.1.0f3, 2017.2.0f1
