"uses parameter which does not exist." error
getting error when assigning parameter to 2D Blend Tree...
BlendTree "Blend Tree" in state "viz" in Controller "" uses parameter "Speed" which does not exist.
BlendTree "Blend Tree" in state "preview" in Controller "" uses parameter "Speed" which does not exist.
UnityEditor.PopupCallbackInfo:SetEnumValueDelegate(Object, String[], Int32)
Switching the Direct Blend Tree also give an error.

I don't think this is a duplicate of that fixed issue. I'm encountering it in 2018.3.3. I haven't deleted the animator, just deleted a parameter. The parameter still shows in the blend tree where it was used previously even though it isn't in the parameters list.
