URPPreprocessBuild.OnPostProcessBuild is never executed when building the Player
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-100293.zip” project
2. Build and Run (File > Build and Run)
3. Observe the Console after the build is complete
Expected result: “"--- OnPostProcessBuild EXECUTED ---"“ log is visible
Actual result: "--- OnPostProcessBuild EXECUTED ---" log is not visible
Reproducible with: 6000.0.48f1, 6000.1.2f1, 6000.2.0a10
Couldn’t test with: 2022.3.62f1 (“URPPreprocessBuild.cs” is not available)
Reproducible on: Windows 11, macOS 15.4.1 (M1 Max)
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested
Notes:
- Bug occurs in URPPreprocessBuild.cs (com.unity.render-pipelines.universal/Editor/BuildProcessors/URPPreprocessBuild)
- Since URPPreprocessBuild does not inherit IPostprocessBuildWithReport, its OnPostProcessBuild method is never executed
