[URP] Deferred rendering path combined with a certain rotation of Directional Light causes black flickering in the scene
Reproduction steps:
# Open the “Flickering” project
# Open “SampleScene” scene
# Navigate/look around in Scene View
Expected result: No black flickering appears on the surfaces of the objects in the scene
Actual result: Black flickering appears on the surfaces of the objects in the scene
Reproducible with: 10.10.0 (2020.3.40f1), 12.1.7 (2021.3.11f1), 13.1.8 (2022.1.19f1), 14.0.2 (2022.2.0a14), 14.0.3 (2023.1.0a1), 15.0.1 (2023.1.0a13)
Not reproducible with: 14.0.3 (2022.2.0a15, 2022.2.0b10)
Reproduced on: Windows 10
Note: The issue is more visible when Depth Bias in URP asset is set to 0 and the Directional Light rotation X value is close to 90 degrees. Also, for an unknown reason, Render Path would sometimes switch to Forward Rendering, make sure it’s set to Deferred Rendering
