Unnecessary Perforce checkouts occurring when ShaderGUI.ValidateMaterial is enabled
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “repro_IN-71710“ project
2. Open the “OutdoorsScene“
3. Open the “Assets“ folder in the Windows File Explorer
4. Press “Ctrl + S“ button combination
5. Observe the “Date modified“ information for both the “M_KeywordOff.mat“ and “M_KeywordOn.mat“
Expected result: The “Date modified“ information for both of the files doesn’t change
Actual result: The “Date modified“ information changes for “M_KeywordOn.mat“ but not for “M_KeywordOff.mat“
Reproduced with: 2021.3.36f1, 2022.3.22f1, 2023.2.15f1
Couldn’t test with: 6000.0.0b12 (the Editor crashes while opening the project)
Reproducible on: Windows 10 (22H2)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Note: Issue only occurs when passing “True” to CoreUtils.SetKeyword but not when passing “False”
