Unity crashes without a stacktrace after StackOverflowException when entering Play Mode
Reproduction steps:
1. Open user's attached project and scene "Starter Scene"
2. Enter Play Mode
-- observe crash
Reproducible with: 2019.4.0f1, 2020.1.0b11, 2020.2.0a13
Could not test with: 2018.4.23f1 (errors)

Are there still plans to do that? Its 4 years from now and still it seem no progress (using Unity 6)

Resolution Note:
We are planning a larger effort to improve StackOverflowException handling. It is quite hard to handle and recover in a robust way. This bug is tracked as something to address as part of that work, but we will not be fixing this bug right now.
