Unexpected break out of an infinite loop when calling IJob.Execute() method
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached "EternalJob" project
2. Enter Play Mode
3. After the game start, exit the Play Mode
4. Enter Play Mode again
Expected result: the editor freezes after entering Play Mode the first time
Actual result: the editor freezes after entering Play Mode the second time
Reproducible with: 2018.4.26f1, 2019.4.8f1, 2020.1.1f1, 2020.2.0a20
Note:
- Pressing the Exit button as the last step will also freeze the Editor

Resolution Note:
This is the current behavior of mono and therefore is operating by design. This is an improvement to existing behavior and a task has been created so this can be prioritized and allocated with the rest of the work on our roadmap.
