Regression
Yes
TextMeshProUGUI.Rebuild() never finishes executing when a TextMeshPro GameObject is instantiated right after entering Play mode
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached ”TMPBUG.zip” Project
2. Open "SampleScene" and enter Play mode
3. Immediately after entering Play mode, attempt to move the white square inside the Game window labeled as "Image" in the Hierarchy, which is located under the "[Debug Overlay]" parent GameObject
4. Observe the Editor
Expected result: The square can be freely moved around the Game view
Actual result: Editor freezes indefinitely
Reproducible in: 2022.3.51f1, 6000.0.24f1, 6000.1.0a1
Could not test with: 2021.3.45f1 (Scripts necessary for reproduction not recognized in 2021.3.x)
Reproducible on: Windows 10, Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Note: The regressed version is the TextMeshPro version 3.2.0-pre.3, the issue does not reproduce in package versions 3.2.0-pre.2 and below
