Text is not masked when creating a Vector Image and using a mask inside a VisualElement
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity” Scene
3. Enter the Play Mode
Expected result: The word 'Label is partially masked by the visual element
Actual result: The word 'Label' is fully visible
Reproducible with: 2022.3.62f1, 6000.0.52f1, 6000.1.9f1, 6000.2.0b8, 6000.3.0a1
Reproducible on:
Play Mode
Windows Standalone Player
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- After exiting Play Mode, the expected result is present in the Game view
- Open the UI Debugger, and change the overflow state from hidden to visible and back, the mask works again
- Changing styles via USS (for example, through the 'Change Style' monobehaviour does not fix the issue
Workaround:
- Toggle Overflow to force a proper refresh of the mask
