Silent crash on initialization of a new audio system when a connected audio device is disconnected
Reproduction steps:
1. Connect an audio device
2. Open the attached “ASDQWE” project
3. Open the “Assets/Scenes/Scene4.unity” Scene
4. Disconnect the device
Reproducible with: 2022.3.20f1
Not reproducible on: 2021.3.35f1, 2023.2.10f1, 2023.3.0b7
Reproducible on: macOS Sonoma 14.3 (Intel), Windows 11 (user’s)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Not reproducible on a blank project
- The issue does not constantly reproduce
- “Default audio device was changed, but the audio system failed to initialize it. Attempting to reset sound system." message is logged on macOS before the crash
