Shadows flicker when moving the camera when the Far Clipping Plane is greater than 3000
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “BugRepro” project
2. Open the “Assets/FlickeringShadows/FlickeringShadows.unity” Scene
3. Set the Aspect ratio to 16:9 Aspect in the Game view
4. Enter the Play Mode
5. Move the Camera with the arrow or WASD keys
6. Observe the Game view
Expected result: No flickering shadows
Actual result: Shadows flicker while moving and may remain missing when the camera stops
Reproducible with: 2022.3.22f1, 2023.2.15f1, 6000.0.0b11
Couldn't test with: 2021.3.36f1 (ArgumentException: Input Axis Speed Axis is not setup)
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Not reproducible when the Aspect ratio is set to Free Aspect or 16:10 Aspect
- Not reproducible when the far clipping plane is less than 3000
