Regression
No
Shadow Caster 2D shadows partially disappear when entering Play mode
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “Shadow_Casting_Regression“ project
2. Open the “Map” scene (Assets/Scenes/Map)
3. Enter Play mode
4. Pause Play mode
5. Select Scene view tab
6. In the Hierarchy, select the “Observe point A” GameObject
7. Focus on the GameObject by pressing “F” on the keyboard
8. Zoom out to see the entire structure
9. Observe the Scene view
Expected result: Shadows are cast by structures in the scene
Actual result: Some structures do not cast shadows
Reproducible with: 6000.0.15f1, 6000.0.56f1, 6000.2.2f1, 6000.3.0a6
Couldn’t test with: 6000.0.14f1 (Multiple issues downgrading the project)
Reproducible on: Windows 11, macOS Sequoia 15.6 (M1)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Note: If “When entering Play Mode” setting, in Project Settings, is set to “Reload Domain and Scene” the issue does not reproduce
