Script referenced by ScriptableObject is null when making changes to the script's code
How to reproduce:
1. Open user-submitted project
2. Open the scene "SamepleScene" (Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity)
3. In the Hierarchy window, select the GameObject "TEST"
4. In the Inspector window, observe the Scene Component script (it should display the line "childComponent is: not null (name: Child GO)")
5. Open the script "ChildComponent" (Assets/Code/ChildComponent.cs)
6. Uncomment the 5th line of the script and save it
7. Return to the Unity Editor, select the GameObject "TEST" in the Hierarchy window and observe the Inspector
Expected result: the Scene Component script displays the line "childComponent is: not null (name: Child GO)"
Actual result: the Scene Component script displays the line "childComponent is: NULL"
Reproducible with: 2019.4.7f1, 2019.4.8f1, 2019.4.29f1, 2020.3.16f1, 2021.1.17f1, 2021.2.0b8, 2022.1.0a6
Note: You may need to repeat steps 5 through 7 multiple times (up to 6 times) to reproduce the bug
