Scene View is flashing on HDRP and Select Texture 2D is extremely slow when selecting an Icon for a Shader Graph Template
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new project using the High Definition 3D template
- Create a new blank Shader Graph (Assets > Create > Shader Graph > Blank Shader Graph)
- Make sure Scene View is visible
- Select the newly created blank Shader Graph in the Project window
- Enable "Use As Template" in the Inspector window
- Click on the Icon selection field
- Click on any of the textures
- Observe the Scene View and the Select Texture 2D window
Actual results: The Scene View is flashing and the Select Texture 2D window is extremely slow
Expected results: The Scene View is not flashing and the Select Texture 2D window is responsive
Reproducible with versions: 6000.5.0a8, 6000.5.0b1, 6000.6.0a1
Not reproducible with versions: 6000.3.11f1, 6000.4.1f1, 6000.5.0a7
Can’t test with versions: 6000.0.71f1 (due to no Use As Template functionality)
Tested on (OS): MacOS SIlicon Tahoe 26.3
Notes:
- Scene View only flashes once on URP, but the Select Texture 2D window is slow
