Rigidbody2D with interpolation position breaks when rotation is set and Time.timeScale is adjusted
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “InterpolationRepro.zip” project
2. Open the “Crime” scene (Assets > Scenes)
3. Enter the Play mode
4. Observe the moving squares in the Game view
Expected result: Both squares move together smoothly
Actual result: The white square starts moving differently and lags
Reproducible with: 2021.3.39f1, 2022.3.34f1, 2023.1.0a18
Not reproducible with: 6000.0.7f1
Fixed in: 2023.1.0a19
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: no other environment tested
Notes:
- Also reproducible in the Player
- Reproducible in the Game view only if the VSync is enabled
