Rigidbody collisions are erratic when using the Temporal Gauss Seidel Physics solver type
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-50775 TGS Physics solver.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene”
3. Enter Play mode
Expected result: The “Cube” GameObjects don’t fly off the “Plane” explosively and bounce conservatively (see the internally attached video)
Actual result: The “Cube” GameObjects bounce and fly off the “Plane” explosively (see the internally attached video)
Reproducible with: 2021.3.30f1, 2022.3.8f1, 2023.1.11f1, 2023.2.0b7, 2023.3.0a3
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (22H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Using the “Projected Gauss Seidel” Physics solver type produces the Expected result
- Reproducible in Player
- Reproducible in a new project
