[Particle System] Hidden particle system not unloaded when entering Play Mode
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "PointCloudIssueSample.zip"
2. In the Project window under "Assets/Scenes" open "SampleScene.unity"
3. In the Hierarchy window select the "PointCloudCreator" GameObject
4. In the Inspector window under the "Point Cloud Creator" Component press the "Show" Button
5. Enter Play Mode
Expected result: Hidden particle system is unloaded when entering Play Mode
Actual result: Hidden particle system is not unloaded when entering Play Mode (See attached Results.mp4)
Reproduces on: 2019.4.12f1, 2020.1.9f1, 2020.2.0b7, 2021.1.0a2
Could not test in 2018.4 due to the Project breaking when downgrading
Notes:
-In the Hierarchy window there is "PointCloudCreator" GameObject with a "PointCloudCreator" component with a custom Inspector where you can show or hide a random point cloud in Editor Mode

Resolution Note:
When something is marked as HideAndDontSave it is now under the control of the script. Unity will not delete or unload that asset even when entering/exiting play mode or changing scenes. Objects created as HideAndDontSave must be explicitly destroyed by the owner of the object.
