Regression
Yes
Object flashes in light blue/cyan color when assigning it a new material or changing the material's shader
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached 'project-1250209.zip' project
2. Load the 'SampleScene'
3. Assign the 'New Material' to 'Cube' game object in the Hierarchy window
Expected result: the cube does not flash in light blue/cyan color
Actual result: the cube flashes in light blue/cyan color
Reproducible with: 2019.1.0a9, 2019.3.15f1, 2020.1.0b10, 2020.2.0a12
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.23f1, 2019.1.0a8
Notes:
- Changing the material's shader for the first time (first time for the shader) will also flash the light blue/cyan color
- Re-opening the project with saved changes seems to fix the flashing

Resolution Note:
This is due to async shader compilation being used. This compiles the shader in the background until a valid shader is present and will display blue until the valid shader is ready. you can disable this in the player settings but unity will 'pause' while the shader is compiled.
