Object Field Picker window shows incorrect number of hidden GameObjects and has same number for all fields

IMGUI Controls

-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new Unity project using a 3D Universal Template
  2. In the Hierarchy, create a "Cube"
  3. In the Inspector, in "Mesh Filter" Component, click on the object field button
  4. In the opened picker window, select the "Assets" tab
  5. Click on the "eye" icon to show hidden GameObjects
  6. Observe the number of GameObjects that were unhidden

Actual results: The number next to "eye" icon matches the number of hidden packages, but not the actual number of hidden GameObjects

Expected results: The number matches the number shown next to "eye" icon

Reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0b1, 6000.0.64f1, 6000.3.2f1, 6000.4.0b2, 6000.5.0a3

Tested on (OS): Windows 11, macOS 26.1 (M1 Pro)

Notes:

  • The shown number is the same across all Object Picker Fields (even if there are zero applicable GameObjects for that field). This number is identical to the number shown in Project window regarding hiding Packages and it appears to be just identical button copied and placed in other fields with no functional changes
  • Additionally, the tooltip is also the same as for hiding Packages: "Number of displayed packages, click to hide packages." which does not the fit the context when in Object Field Picker, as it is not displaying packages but available GameObjects for selection
