NullReferenceException is thrown when invoking EditorGUIUtility.ShowObjectPicker
How to reproduce:
1. Open user-submitted project (ReproductionProject)
2. Open Window > Mecanim Event Editor
3. Select Add clip from controller > Base Layer > HoldLog
4. With HoldLog selected right-click in the timeline and select New > Generic
Expected result: Object Picker window pops up
Actual result: NullReferenceException is thrown
Reproducible with: 2019.2.0a11, 2019.2.17f1, 2019.3.0f4, 2020.1.0a17
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.15f1, 2019.2.0a10
Could not test with: 2017.4.35f1(some namespaces not implemented)
