NullReferenceException is thrown when adding a Node in the VFX Graph with the UI Toolkit installed
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached "1287276_repro.zip" project
2. Double click the "Test" VFX Asset in the Project window
3. Press the Space bar on the keyboard in the VFX Graph
4. Select any type of Node and press Enter
5. Observe the Console log
Expected result: No error messages are thrown in the Console log
Actual result: "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message is thrown in the Console log
Reproducible with: 1.0.0-preview.9 (2020.1.11f1)
Could not test with: 2018.4.28f1 and 2019.4.13f1 (Package is not supported), 2020.2.0b9 and 2021.1.0a2 (error CS0535: 'EditorElement' does not implement interface member 'IEditorElement.ReinitCulled(int)')
Note:
- The issue is also reproducible when creating a Node in the VFX Graph with a mouse
