UUM-112504
Regression
No
No visual indication of required vs optional fields in package description edit view
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new Unity project
- Open Package Manager window
- Press “+” at the top left corner
- Select “Create package”
- Add a new package name and press “Create”
- Verify that the "Inspector" window displays the package manifest
- Click the "Edit" button in it
- From the "Name" field, delete the entered package title
- Observe the result
Actual results: Under the "Asset PostProcessors" section of the "Inspector" tab, an error message is displayed, which is not very informative: "Invalid Package Name '' ". The "Information" section does not indicate which fields are mandatory or optional, making it unclear which fields require input
Expected results: Mandatory fields should have "" next to them. That would help to understand which fields should be filled with data.
Reproducible with versions:* 6000.3.0a3
Not reproducible with versions: -
Can’t test with versions: 6000.3.0a2 as "Create package" functionality landed only in 6000.3.0a3
Tested on (OS): M1 Max - Sequoia 15.5
