Custom shadows are replaced with default ones until library is rebuilt or graphics API is changed
Reproduction steps:
1. Use a Mac machine that supports Metal (Not a Metal related issue).
2. Open the attached project ((NGSS PROJECT 5.6 BUG(2).zip (10 MB)).
3. Open the "ShowcaseSceneDirectionalLight" scene.
4. Look at the shadows.
- Shadows are replaced with default internal hard shadows (Screenshots attached("Actual"/"Expected")).
Workaround:
- Delete a project Library folder(Helps 90% of the time).
- Change graphics API.
Notes:
- Doesn't reproduce if the attached project is opened with Windows machine (Reproduces for the user on Windows machine).
- Haven't found a way to reach a broken Editor state when project is already fixed using workaround.
- The project got corrupted when it was upgraded from 5.3 to 5.6 for the user (Project doesn't corrupt for me when I try to repeat it).
Reproduced with:
5.6.0f1, 2017.2.0b1

I believe the lack of priority for this bug is due to the fact they have been working hard on the movement to the Scriptable Render Loops system, where this issue will likely not exist.

This looks like a pretty straightforward fix, I believe with 33 votes already some love is in order?

The shadows provided by this NGSS-asset are incredible, I'd really love to see this fixed soon by Unity!

Unity3D 2017.2.0f3 - NGGS doesn't work on mobile platforms, shadows fall back to the default shadows.

Same results in Windows when developing for mobile. NGSS doesn't work and shadows fall back to the default shadows shader after switching the platform to iOS.
