"Mesh.vertices is too small" and "Mesh.uv is out of bounds" errors when selecting specific particle prefabs in sequence
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “IN-86325“ project
2. In the Project window double click on the “FX_Smoke (18)“ prefab (located at Assets → Bug)
3. In the Project window double click on the “FX_Smoke (19)“ prefab
4. Observe the console window
Expected result: No errors are shown
Actual result: “Mesh.vertices is too small“ and “Mesh.uv is out of bounds“ errors are shown
Reproducible with: 2022.3.51f1, 6000.0.24f1, 6000.1.0a1
Could not test with: 2021.3.45f1 (Broken prefab due to downgrading)
Reproduced on: Windows 10 (user), Windows 11
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
* The bug occurs only when selecting the specific particle prefabs in the described order
* The issue is related to the sprite assigned to the shape in the “Particle System” component
* The bug does not occur if the Scene view is not visible
