[macOS] "Escape" symbol (⎋) is not displayed in the Editor
How to reproduce:
1. Open the SampleScene in the attached "case_1179677_MissingSymbol" project
2. Select "Test" GameObject in the Hierarchy
3. Check the "SymbolTest" Script Component in the Inspector
Expected results: The variable header field contains the '⎋' symbol: Test {⎋}
Actual results: The variable header field does not contain the '⎋' symbol: Test {}
Reproducible with: 2019.3.0a3, 2019.3.0b1, 2020.1.0a2
Not reproducible with 2017.4.32f1, 2018.4.8f1, 2019.2.3f1, 2019.3.0a2
Additional note:
1. 2019.3.0a3 is the version when the Editor appearance has been updated, probably this issue is related to the updated font
2. This symbol does not exist in Windows versions of Unity

Resolution Note (2020.1.X):
I can no longer reproduce this on macOS Catalina in either 2019.4 or 2020.1. There were multiple fixes to the font system that allow the symbol to display properly. I tested the symbol in multiple places, and it renders correctly every time, even with a build form October 2019.
