Issue ID
UUM-40461
Regression
Yes
Low framerate while in the Play Mode when using Render Texture with URP
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project “RenderTextureFPS”
2. Open Scene “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity”
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. Observe the Statistics panel
Expected result: In the Play Mode, FPS is in the hundreds
Actual result: The Play Mode is running lower than 60 FPS
Reproducible with: 2022.1.0b1, 2022.3.2f1, 2023.1.0f1, 2023.2.0a19
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.27f1, 2022.1.0a16
Reproducible on: Windows 10
Not reproducible on: macOS 13.4
Notes:
Removing the Render Texture from “Main Camera (1)” increases the FPS significantly
When using HDRP, FPS doesn’t seem to be impacted by Render Texture
