IL2CPP Build fails when using .NET Framework API Compatibility
How to reproduce:
1. Open the user attached "IL2CPPTypeConversion.zip" project
2. Build the project (File -> Build Settings -> Build)
Expected result: Succesful build
Actual result: Failed build
Reproducible with: 2021.2.19f1, 2022.1.0b15, 2022.2.0a9
Couldn't test with: 2019.4.37f1, 2020.3.33f1 (Missing assembly reference)
Note:
- Reported on Windows 11 reproduced with MacOS
- Not reproducible when API Compatibility Level is set to ".NET Standard"
- API compatibility can be changed in the Player Settings (File -> Build Settings -> Player Settings)
- Not reproducible with Scripting Backend set to Mono
