[IL2CPP] Build error on Unity 2020.3 and later when using exported DLL from Unity 2019.4
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached user's project 'IL2CPP_Error_2020.zip'
2. Build And Run on Android
3. Observe logs in the Console
Expected results: The build succeeds without any errors
Actual results: The build fails with 'NullReferenceException' and 'ArgumentNullException' errors in the Console
Reproducible with: 2020.3.20f1, 2021.1.24f1, 2021.2.0b15, 2022.1.0a12
Not reproducible with: 2019.4.31f1 (the DLL is created with this Unity version)
Notes:
- Does not reproduce with Mono Scripting Backend
- Does not reproduce with DLL that is exported from Unity 2020.3 or later

Resolution Note (2022.1.X):
Between 2019 and 2020 an API change was made to the base class of UnityEngine.XR.ARFoundation.ARSession. Specifically an additional generic argument was added to the UnityEngine.XR.ARFoundation.SubsystemLifecycleManager class. Any dlls built within 2019 will need to be recompiled from source in Unity 2020 or later.
